This Sunday, July 1st both Pastor Chris & I will be in Houston for the ELCA Youth Gathering. In our absence it is our joy to welcome The Rev. Christopher Wilkerson, Assistant to the Rector of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Clemson, to preach and preside. The ELCA is in full communion with the Episcopal Church USA, and several other Christian denominations which makes these partnerships possible. https://www.elca.org/Faith/Ecumenical-and-Inter-Religious-Relations/Full-Communion

This is a little info on Christopher from Holy Trinity’s website: “Christopher holds a BS in Anthropology from Georgia Southern University and an MFA in English and Creative Writing from Southern Illinois University. Prior to attending Seminary he taught English at Spartanburg Community College.

A lifelong Episcopalian, Christopher is also a guitarist and songwriter who loves science fiction, poetry, theatre, and pop-culture (“I enjoy Hamlet and The Simpsons in about equal measure.”) He is married to Anne, a board-certified music therapist specializing in end-of-life care and bereavement, and a talented musician as well. They have two daughters, Emily (6) and Elena (4).”

Please be sure to extend a warm welcome to Father Christopher, and Pastor Chris and I look forward to being with you on Sunday July 8th, if not before.

God’s peace, Pastor Jon
