Grace and peace to you.

What a few months this has been. Our prayers go out to the family and friends of Jack Harvill, the Security Guard killed by the tornado. Our prayers go out to those whose houses were damaged or destroyed, who’ve had even more challenges added on top of those that were already present.

WIGIAT? “Where is God in all this” is the acronym coined by my Pastoral Care Professor Dr. Tony Everett. As Pastor Josh shared in the Facebook Live devotion this morning, God is still with us. In the storms, in the suffering, in the community of people rallying around to love and serve our neighbors as we are able, God is with us.

Two Seneca area ministries that individuals from UniLu and the congregation itself help support are Our Daily Bread (their website was generating some error messages, but it is http://ourdailybreadsc.org/ ) and Our Daily Rest. https://www.ourdailyrest.org/.

We also have people who help at the Golden Corner food pantry in Seneca: https://goldencornerpantry.org/. If you are able, I’m sure they all could use some extra support.

Please contact me or Pastor Josh if there is anything we can be doing for you at this time. There are plenty of folks in the congregation who can assist with tasks while honoring the physical distancing we are still practicing to reduce the spread of Covid-19.

God’s peace & hope be with you,

Pastor Jon
