Lutheran Campus Ministry (LCM)
University Lutheran Church hosts a vibrant outreach ministry to Clemson students.
Students have opportunities for fellowship and faith formation through Wednesday night meals, weekly meetings of the Women’s Group and Men’s Group, and a Tuesday night bible study lead by Pastor Josh Kestner.
There is also plenty of time for fun, and lots of opportunities to enjoy one another. There is an annual hayride, tubing trip, ski trip, and lots of cookouts and ice-cream runs.
Service is very important to LCM-Clemson. Weekly “quilting parties,” CROP Walk for world hunger, the annual Homecoming Habitat for Humanity Build, and service trips over spring break are just a few opportunities students have to serve the community with LCM.
Students have an additional opportunity for personal and professional growth through the “Two by Two” mentorship program. These are gatherings of students with UniLu members – some of whom are faculty, others who are retired professionals in appropriate careers. These groups provide opportunity to discuss vocational discernment – particularly how the student’s anticipated career is an expression of their baptismal calling.
The LCM Campus Pastor is Pastor Josh Kestner. He can be reached at [email protected].
