The University Lutheran Church is heavily involved in supporting our community by giving our time, talents, and donations to local ministries and services. The following are opportunities to serve in the Clemson community:

Habitat for Humanity
Support Clemson Homecoming House and Pickens County Habitat. Volunteers needed to provide labor, food and financial support.

Our Daily Bread
The Seneca Soup kitchen serves 80-100+ lunches each weekday. The Unilu team of 6 people volunteers the first Friday of each month from 9:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Because of the great support from our church, you only work 3 or 4 times a year.

Recycling Program
Volunteers take office paper to recycling center each week. Volunteers are also needed to take the green recycling bucket from the kitchen to their home recycling location. We also compost kitchen scraps & coffee grounds (of which there are plenty!)

Family Promise Program Volunteer
Support the Host Congregation, Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, for 4 weeks during of the year. Volunteers will be needed during the week to provide food for breakfast and bag lunches, to provide food and prepare dinner, to eat dinner with the guests, to stay overnight, to set up at the beginning of the week (Sunday afternoon) and to clean up at the end of the week (Sunday morning and afternoon).

Quilting Group
Meet monthly from September through May to create quilts for Lutheran World Relief for victims of disasters worldwide.

Blood Drive
Volunteers are needed to give blood when the Blood Mobile is at our church, two times a year.

CROP Walk
Volunteers help raise funds by taking part in CROP Walk the first Sunday in October. Also a coordinator for this once a year project is needed.

Clemson Community Care
We support CCC with gifts of food through our ongoing food collection. www.clemsoncommunitycare.org

Wee Care
This group provides hand-smocked gowns to area hospitals for babies who are stillborn or who die shortly after birth.

Reading with Children at Central Elementary
Volunteers from several area church stake time each week to read with students at Central Elementary School.

Clemson Child Development Center
Volunteers are needed to serve on the CCDC Board, assist with special programs and fundraising, read with children, and maintain the building and grounds.
